Herodotus is a software created to log the database operations. With Herodotus you can visually define the tables and fields you want to log for, and automatically create all the objects needed (tables, triggers, generators, ecc..). With Herodotus you can focus on the decisional part of the logging process, and let Herodotus apply your settings to the database. Herodotus comes from years of databases programming and managing. The initial concept that lead to the development philosohy of Herodotus was the need to answer to the very same question, from hundreds of users of ours multiuser business software. The question is "Who the hell changed the value of the field XXX of that record ?" (and, thanks to Herodotus, many times the answer is "...ehm..uhm... it was you..." ). So, Herodotus is focused to log the history of the changes to the values of all the fields configured with it.
